No High-Density Housing on Our Public Parking Lots

OUR MISSION

The City of Glendale is moving towards developing high-density housing on our public parking lots.

This is part of the City Council’s plan to solve budget shortfalls and meet affordable housing goals - at the expense of our neighborhoods.

Help us stop the City.

Together we will preserve our quality of life.

Community Meeting

Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025

Location: St. Gregory Armenian Church, 1510 E Mountain St

During our community meeting over 200 residents came to learn about the City of Glendale’s designation of 16 city-owned parcels—including the public parking lots near Mountain & Verdugo—as surplus land under the Surplus Land Act (SLA) and the draft the Land Use Element that changes the planning designation of the lots to allow for high-density housing (50 units/acre) under the City-Owned Residential Overlay (CORO).
